Partition Museum

Partition Museum is built in the town hall, Amritsar. The Partition Museum is the first memorial to the Partition of the subcontinent, opening 70 years on from the traumatic creation of independent India and Pakistan. In March 1947 when Lord Mountbatten landed in India to allow the errand (job) of separating India topographically into two countries to Sir Cyril Radcliffe. The Partition Museum was inaugurated (with the curtain raiser exhibition) on October 24, 2016, by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Badal.
